Pioneer Press: MNsure handed out $26,000 in bonuses during troubled web site's launch

Written by Chris Snowbeck, Pioneer Press

Fourteen managers at MNsure collectively received more than $26,000 in bonuses in November as the state government launched its troubled health exchange website, state officials disclosed Wednesday.

After the website launched on Oct. 1, the state divulged numerous problems with the health exchange's software that resulted in thousands of consumers waiting hours for help during December from MNsure's overwhelmed call center in St. Paul.

Questions about the bonuses were first raised by Rep. Joe Hoppe, R-Chaska, in a Tuesday letter to Gov. Mark Dayton.
